We’re looking for a Group & Events Sales Executive (9 months FTC – Maternity Cover) who leads with charisma, strategic insight, and a passion for building relationships. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our commercial momentum, nurturing existing accounts, and identifying new opportunities to ensure The Newman remains the top choice in Fitzrovia. This role focuses on driving revenue through the group & events segments, ensuring our brand presence remains strong and our group and event pipeline remains solid.

About You and The Role

As a Sales Executive at The Newman, you will:

• Manage the hotel’s group and events enquiries, ensuring high levels of engagement to convert business.
• Work closely with the Director of Sales and our 3rd Party Representation company to qualify, quote and contract group and event enquiries.
• Prepare and communicate Banquet Event Orders and Group Resume’s to the wider hotel team
• Focus on the guest journey by working closely with the Front Office and Reservations teams to ensure VIP and corporate preferences are met.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create compelling promotions and ensure our digital and physical presence aligns with our luxury standards.
• Oversee contract negotiations and RFP processes for any group or event enquiries received accuracy and commercial flair.
• Provide regular reporting on sales activities, lead conversion, and revenue targets to the senior leadership team.
• Maintain high standards of CRM management, ensuring all client data and interactions are recorded meticulously.
