Be part of something new in London’s luxury boutique hospitality scene. The Newman Hotel is opening in Summer 2025, bringing a fresh and dynamic experience to Fitzrovia.

This is your chance to shape a luxury lifestyle hotel from the ground up. As part of our pre-opening team, we’re looking for a skilled and hands-on Engineering Supervisor to support our Director of Facilities and lead our engineering team. You’ll oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all hotel systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly to create a seamless, safe, and comfortable experience for guests and our people alike.

About You and The Role

We’re looking for an Engineering Supervisor who:

• Thrives in a fast-paced, pre-opening environment, setting up and refining processes.
• Has experience in engineering or maintenance, ideally in a luxury hotel.
• Understands HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, lifts, and general maintenance.
• Has led, trained, and supported a team to ensure smooth operations.
• Diagnoses and resolves technical issues quickly and effectively.
• Manages multiple tasks, prioritises urgent issues, and keeps accurate records.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates confidently with hotel teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Leads by example, takes initiative, and maintains high standards.
• Can work shifts, including weekends and emergency callouts.
• Holds a relevant technical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ) – preferred but not essential.
