We’re looking for a Reception Manager who leads with warmth, confidence, and care. You’ll play a key role in shaping the Front Office team, setting the tone for every arrival and departure, and ensuring each guest experience feels personal, smooth, and memorable. This role will have a strong focus on the guest journey, with particular attention to personalised touches and delivering a seamless service from start to finish.

About You and The Role

As a Reception Manager at The Newman, you will:

• Lead and support the Reception team, creating a calm, welcoming, and professional environment
• Set the tone for exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure
• Take ownership of the full guest journey, ensuring every touchpoint feels seamless and considered
• Place strong focus on VIP arrivals, preferences, and personalised service standards
• Oversee the daily Front Office operation, ensuring check-ins and check-outs run smoothly
• Support, coach, and develop the team through regular guidance and feedback
• Work closely with Concierge, Housekeeping, Reservations, and the wider hotel team to ensure a seamless guest journey
• Take ownership of guest feedback and resolve concerns with care and confidence
• Oversee room allocations, daily planning, and operational flow alongside the Duty Managers
• Ensure billing accuracy, pre-authorisations, and payment processes are followed correctly
• Maintain high standards of presentation, organisation, and attention to detail at all times
• Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
