We’re looking for a Restaurant & Bar Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests joining us at our all-day brasserie Adalana and Gambit Bar. Warm, welcoming and highly organised, you’ll help create smooth, thoughtful experiences from the moment each guest walks through the door.

About You and The Role

As a Restaurant & Bar Receptionist at The Newman, you will:

• Greet guests warmly and confidently, whether they’re joining us for brunch, dinner or late-night cocktails
• Manage reservations, walk-ins and table allocations using OpenTable, respond to guest inquiries by phone and email
• Communicate clearly with the host, bar and floor teams to manage guest flow and ensure smooth service
• Be a calm and attentive presence in a dynamic setting, keeping a close eye on details
• Support both the service and bar teams by helping manage pacing, communicating guest preferences, and assisting with any guest queries or changes
• Build rapport with regulars and help every guest feel seen and appreciated
• Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

About The Newman

The Newman will offer 81 rooms and suites, including a luxurious rooftop signature suite with a private terrace and dedicated wellness area. Guests can enjoy our all-day brasserie, Adalana, serving dishes inspired by Northern European flavours and Gambit Bar, offering a range of cocktails and local craft beers, the hotel also features an entire floor dedicated to Wellness.
