We’re looking for a Maître D’ to lead the guest experience at our all-day brasserie, Adalana. You’ll bring confidence, poise, and warmth to the floor—ensuring every guest feels personally welcomed and beautifully looked after, from the first hello to the final goodbye.

About You and The Role

As Maitre D’ at The Newman’s Brasserie, you will:

• Lead the front-of-house welcome with presence and professionalism
• Be the first impression and final memory of our guests’ dining experience
• Manage the flow of the restaurant, balancing reservations, walk-ins, and guest expectations
• Build strong relationships with regular guests and high-profile visitors alike
• Work closely with the hosts, service, and bar teams to deliver a seamless, elegant, and warm guest journey
• Anticipate and resolve service challenges with grace and calm
• Support both the service and bar teams by coordinating table turns, managing the floor, and maintaining an exceptional pace of service
• Be confident using OpenTable
• Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including breakfast, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

About The Newman

The Newman will offer 81 rooms and suites, including a luxurious rooftop signature suite with a private terrace and dedicated wellness area. Guests can enjoy our all-day brasserie, Adalana, serving dishes inspired by Northern European flavours and Gambit Bar, offering a range of cocktails and local craft beers, the hotel also features an entire floor dedicated to Wellness.
