About You and The Role

As a Security Officer at The Newman, you will:

• Provide a visible, professional, and welcoming presence across the hotel
• Deliver a high level of guest service, supporting guests with discretion and care
• Ensure the safety and security of guests, visitors, and people at all times
• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control, responding promptly to any incidents
• Patrol the premises and manage access to restricted areas
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security breaches
• Work closely with hotel management to identify and mitigate potential risks
• Maintain accurate records and incident reports

You will:

• Hold a valid SIA licence
• Have previous experience in security or a similar role, ideally within a hotel environment
• Be calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
• Be comfortable using systems and basic IT (including Microsoft Office)
• Be flexible to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays
