We’re looking for a Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our all-day brasserie, Adalana. Warm, organised, and naturally engaging, you’ll set the tone for each guest’s dining experience—whether it’s a relaxed breakfast, a buzzy lunch, or a lively evening meal.

About You and The Role

As a Host/ Hostess at The Newman, you will:

• Greet every guest with warmth, confidence, and a genuine smile
• Manage reservations and walk-ins via OpenTable with professionalism and grace
• Organise seating plans and communicate clearly with the restaurant and kitchen teams
• Build rapport with regulars and newcomers alike, making every guest feel seen and valued
• Support the service and bar teams by coordinating smooth table turns, relaying guest needs, and helping manage flow during busy periods
• Be the calm and welcoming presence in a busy, vibrant environment
• Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including breakfast, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

About The Newman

The Newman will offer 81 rooms and suites, including a luxurious rooftop signature suite with a private terrace and dedicated wellness area. Guests can enjoy an all-day brasserie serving dishes inspired by Northern European flavours and Gambit Bar, offering a range of cocktails and local craft beers, the hotel also features an entire floor dedicated to Wellness.
