We're looking for a Barista to join the team at The Newman, working across both Gambit, our stylish cocktail bar, and Angelica, our modern all-day brasserie. You'll bring energy, personality, and precision to every brew—whether it's a simple espresso or a latte with beautiful latte art.

About You and The Role

As a Barista at The Newman, you will:

• Prepare and serve exceptional coffee and espresso-based drinks with consistency and skill
• Lead by example, training and mentoring the barista team to maintain high standards
• Engage guests with confidence, warmth, and knowledge—sharing your passion for quality coffee
• Maintain equipment to the highest standard, ensuring optimal performance and cleanliness
• Manage stock levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
• Confidently make recommendations and answer questions on beans, brewing methods, and flavour profiles
• Ideally have experience using Micros
• Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

About The Newman

The Newman offers 81 rooms and suites, including a luxurious rooftop signature suite with a private terrace and dedicated wellness area. Guests can enjoy Angelica, our all-day brasserie serving dishes inspired by Northern European flavours and Gambit Bar, offering a range of cocktails and local craft beers. The hotel also features an entire floor dedicated to Wellness.
