We’re looking for a Bar Back to join the opening team at The Newman, supporting Gambit, our lively neighbourhood bar, or Adalana, our elegant all-day brasserie. You’ll be the engine behind the scenes—keeping everything stocked, spotless, and running smoothly for both service and bar teams.

About You and The Role

As a Bar Back at The Newman, you will:

• Support bartenders and floor teams in Gambit or Adalana by keeping everything well-stocked and ready for service
• Prepare garnishes, polish glassware, restock fridges, and refill ice
• Ensure bar and service areas are clean, tidy, and always guest-ready
• Work quickly and proactively to anticipate needs, especially during busy shifts
• Help reset tables, run drinks, and support smooth communication between the bar and floor teams

About The Newman

The Newman will offer 81 rooms and suites, including a luxurious rooftop signature suite with a private terrace and dedicated wellness area. Guests can enjoy Adalana, our all-day brasserie serving dishes inspired by Northern European flavours and Gambit Bar, offering a range of cocktails and local craft beers, the hotel also features an entire floor dedicated to Wellness.
