About You and The Role

As a Goods Receiver at The Newman, you will:

• Receive and check deliveries, ensuring accuracy in weight, temperature, quality, and quantity before processing invoices in Adaco.
• Store and distribute goods safely, keeping storage areas clean, organised, and well-labelled, including cold rooms.
• Liaise with suppliers and teams, resolving discrepancies, following up on credit notes, and maintaining smooth communication with chefs and department heads.
• Maintain high hygiene and safety standards, following Fire Safety, Health & Safety, and Food Safety regulations while monitoring fridge temperatures via T-Scan.
• Support back-of-house operations, assisting where needed to ensure efficiency and organisation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong problem solver, with good communication skills.
• Computer literacy and prior experience with Adaco is preferred.
• Physically fit, comfortable with lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Flexible with working hours (7am-3pm, with some weekend and bank holiday cover as needed).

About The Newman

The Newman will offer 81 rooms and suites, including a luxurious rooftop signature suite with a private terrace and dedicated wellness area. Guests can enjoy Brasserie Adeline, an all-day brasserie serving dishes inspired by Northern European flavours and Gambit Bar, offering a range of cocktails and local craft beers, the hotel also features an entire floor dedicated to Wellness.
